The Taklamakan Desert in China is often called The Desert of Death because it is enormous and has very little water; therefore it's like a death wish to cross....but not this month.

I was looking at a snowfall map of the northern hemisphere last night and Asia is pretty much snow covered over the entire continent.  Very impressive expanse of unbroken snow!
