LIKELY TO GET DRIVEN FARTHER NW THAN EARLIER EXPECTED. THAT WL
LIMIT SNOW TOTALS OVER ALL BUT FAR N-C WI. EXPECT THE HEAVIEST
SNOW TO OCCUR NW OF RHI/EGV. NOT SURE IT CHANGES WL BE REQUIRED TO
HEADLINE TYPES FM C-NE WI...WL MAKE A DECISION ON THAT IN THE NEXT
HR. ALTHOUGH THE START TIME OF 21Z IS PROBABLY STILL A LITTLE TOO
EARLY IN THE N...DON/T PLAN ON MAKING ANY MORE CHANGES TO THAT AT
THIS POINT.

Nice time to get out of school. Some rain showers passing through currently. Another round of rain down by Iowa City that may have some thunderstorm potential is making it's way up here as well, but should pretty much go dry and windy after that.

-RN currently, with some moderate bursts moving through. Some very spotty showers.

This has taken a pretty nice chunk out of the snow pack. Still some decent depth out there, but it's taken a hit for sure.

How much you got now?

NOHRSC says you got about 7-8" now.

Down to 4" observed at MDW.

Talk about a dynamic system we have unfolding...that squall line is going to be crazy as it heads up this way.  I'm down to 8-10" snow depth, maybe come close to 8" or a little less and I'll be happy with the amount left over.  All this snow will be an ice box tomorrow morning when it freezes overnight.

Edit: Surprised that temps have held in the mid/upper 30's so late in the day.  We will probably only see a few hours when temps spike before plunging overnight.  Bodes well for the snow pack.

Had about 1.5" of TSSN this morning at home in Marshall and it snowed lightly most of the day only going over to rain in the last hour. Here I was expecting a deluge    My 2nd highest snowbank near my garage door is DOWN to 54". What a winter! :D

Nice satellite shot! The warm sector is about to jump northward. Winds 70 miles south are clocking around 30mph.
