St Paul Storm
It's pretty amazing how the atmosphere isn't getting worked over as the storms roll through. I'm focusing on N IL with that statement. Pure atmospheric river action right there. To see a pump that primed in Feb is amazing.

Niko
Not much IMBY, but that could change later on this afternoon and especially tonight as colder air is poised to rush in and take over. Idk, but tbh, I dont want any snowshowers at all. To me now, that is a nuisance type, even that 1 inch expected. If it was a foot+, then hell yeah, bring it on! VMB443
We had a good hour burst earlier this morning - about an inch or so just west of Milwaukee but just flurries since then. We are riding the edge down here so far.
gosaints
They picked up 2 inches of snow in about an hour Amazing how the baroclinic zone has been in about a perfect spot for us the majority of the season. Only an 1.5 here. Development of the backside was just late to the party.

Temps are in the upper 20's so I'd assume ratios are pretty good. That defo band is healthy looking.

gimmesnow
Wow, they're going to blow snow for me. There's nothing on the ground in lake geneva area but they're saying we might do better tomorrow. As long as we bring in some cold air I'm going to be super happy at this point. And I'm glad to see some of you finally getting some decent snow, hopefully the next system can inch southward a tiny bit for me.

Money
Looks like models (HRRR/RAP) were way too far north with the snow band initially. jaster220
0.5 to 1+ inches fell across the southern part of SWMI on the backside. Not as robust as the last event. More nuisance dust-ups. #nuisancedustings are not winter. 24hr drop from 55F to 28F pretty impressive for this area though I don't need or want that at this point..kinda worthless wx tbh Quote Winter 2023-24 Snow Total = 53.1" (90% Normal Season) Largest Storm: 12" (1/12-13) Oct: 0.1 Nov: 2.9 Dec: 7.5 Jan: 31.7 Feb: 6.0 Mar: 4.3 Apr: 0.1 Avg = 59.2" (Harrison): 2023-24 = 53.1" Avg = 45.0" (KDTW): 2022-23 = 33.5" 2021-22 = 35.6" Avg = 49.7" (KRMY): 2020-21 = 36.2" 2019-20 = 48.0" 2018-19 = 56.1" 2017-18 = 68.3" 2016-17 = 52" 2015-16 = 57.4" 2014-15 = 55.3" 2013-14 = 100.6" (coldest & snowiest in the modern record!) 2012-13 = 47.2" 2011-12 = 43.7" Legit Blizzards (high winds and dbl digit snows): Feb 2011, Dec 2009, Jan 2005, Dec 2000, Jan 1999, Mar 1998, Nov 1989, Jan 1982, Jan 1978, Jan 1977, Apr 1975, Mar 1973, Jan 1967, Feb 1965, Jan 1918
