It does not feel like a warm to very warm September coming... that is just intuition based on local history and not scientific in any way.

Although I have been wrong many times before using that method.

You'd know more about that than me. Personally I'd argue that June/July should have been cooler, but a combination of factors external to the region altered the pattern enough to change that outcome. I think 9/10 times, the outcome in such a boundary state would be cooler.

About 0.07" so far. A solid -RN at the moment. Nice damp day - I've missed these.

Looking as traffic cams in central and eastern WA... a deep blue sky now in places like Moses Lake and a turbulent sky in Spokane and Couer d'Alene.    Looks so much cleaner than it did yesterday morning.

Just a light drizzle in Bend this morning. Much cooler though, only 68 and mostly cloudy right now. Air quality is only marginally better though as the Whycus Fire burns 20 miles NW of Bend.

Beware the week from tomorrow morning low cloud shocker!

Marine layer shouldn't be too much of an issue in Madras. B)

The only thing that could mess things up over there would be a region wide system. Kind of like this morning, when they had overcast skies over there for awhile. Models have been waffling on any sort of setup like that next Monday.

You may have a shot at a sub-70F day down that way, there seem to be a large area of cloudiness lingering to the south of here.

Enough sun here for a high of 71.

Everything looks fresh and clean again.

Temperatures above 80N have officially dropped below freezing for the first time, in the descent into cold season 2017/18.
