An 8.1 earthquake struck off the coast southern Mexico along the Middle American Trench causing a small tsunami and killing at least 32 people. This is the largest quake in decades in southern Mexico. It was felt as far away as Austin, Texas, 1300 mi. away. Earthquake lights were reported as well.
