7.1 Quake Hits Central Mexico

A magnitude 7.1earthquake struck the Puebla area of Mexico on September 19, 2017 at 1:14 local time (06:14UTC).

 

Today's death toll is at 94 and climbing.

This occurred on the 32nd anniversary of the 8.0 Mexico City earthquake that killed 10,000.

Today's quake occurred on a dry lake bed creating liquidation and was at 32 miles deep so it was felt in a wide area.

Sadly the death toll approaches 300, many were children in the school that collapsed.
