6.2 Quake Occurs On Faultline Near Fukushima.

What makes this noteworthy are the fact that it occurred on the fault 200 miles from the Fukushima accident, and so close to 2 large quakes on the opposite side of the Ring of Fire. Seems the plates have awakened so this Fall. The Fukishima area is still no man's land and cleanup has many setbacks and subject to heated debates.


A powerful 6.2 magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Japan near Fukushima.
Details of the extent of the damage have not yet emerged regarding the quake which hit 281km South East of Kamaishi.
The depth of the earthquake, which struck at 2.37am local time, was measured at 10km.
