Hate to say it but the canadian has probably been the most unreliable model all year. It jumps to all these crazy conclusions from one run to the next one.

Early call before the UKMET and Euro is that GEM is an outlier. But it does show there is a lot of potential I guess.

The 12z UK actually had something similar to that did it not? Also the GFS came a tick south. PROGRESS! Still think this is one for MN though.

Big takeaway from runs so far is all the models get this pretty strong

Gfs got it down to 995. CMC down to 984 and ukie down to 992

I’d like to see the Euro dig the storm a bit more like the Ukie. Would bode well for NE/IA peeps. Meantime, GEFS showing an uptick in stronger members and a more developed system.

Euro suppresses the low pretty far Southeast at hour 120. Unfortunately, the cold air stays somewhat separated from the center of the storm. Snow map should be interesting though.

Definitely looks like a better track for Iowa and Southern Wisconsin/Chicago:

Compare that to the GFS, which took the low (more quickly) through Iowa:

I will post some raw #'s here in a little bit after I watch an animation of it on Accu-Wx pro. Concerned there may not be that much precip with the  Euro. Feel free to post your local airport id.

The two loudest sounds known to man: a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.

I'd love to see O'Hare.

I'm here for 2 weeks and just want to see an inch of snow!

Seems like a long-shot with this storm though.
