I'm quite confident we will see some record lows with the coming cold snap so I figured it would be worth to start a thread regarding that.

Record lows to beat for SEA:

2-18 - 20 (1990)

2-19 - 22 (1990)

2-20 - 25 (1955) ... I want this one!  To break a record from the great 1955 would be awesome!

2-21 - 25 (1957)

2-22 - 30 (2005) ... ridiculous low hanging fruit

2-23 - 27 (2011)

What year did they cut over from the courthouse to SeaTac?

Our best bet in SLC is a record low of 6F on the 21st. Record low maximums of 25F on both the 20th and 21st are reasonably possible to break.

Sea - Tac records began in 1945.

Hard to believe that date has threaded the needle for so long.  It's almost a lock for it to fall this week, but clouds could make it close.

SEA did break the record low max on 2/21 by 6 degrees.  The new record is 34 which beats the 40 set in 1993.  I would say the record low of 30 today is sure to fall.

SEA broke the record low of 30 on 2/22 when the temp dropped to 26.

SEA has already tied the record for 2/23 with a temperature of 27 at midnight.
