Tom
The beat goes on as we continue through this cold and wintry opening week of April and yet another snow system looks to target the central Plains and slide into the S MW later this week into the weekend. All the models are dialing in on this potential, but strength and track are still in question. Let's dive in... 00z Euro has a stripe of 2-4" across C NE, 3-6" across KS into MO... 06z GFS... http://maps1.pivotalweather.com/maps/models/gfs/2018040406/072/snku_acc.us_c.png 06z NAM... http://maps1.pivotalweather.com/maps/models/nam/2018040406/066/snku_acc.us_c.png 00z GGEM... http://maps3.pivotalweather.com/maps/models/gdps/2018040400/072/snku_acc.us_c.png

Minny_Weather
I wonder what the all-time April snow records are for your region for daily and full month snow tallies. Our highest April snow-wise is 11.1", so that's not on the table. The daily snowfall record for 4/6 is 4.2", I don't think that's on the table anymore. 4/8 is 1.5". 1 Quote Formerly *ahem*: LNK_Weather, TOL_Weather, FAR_Weather, MSP_Weather, IMoveALot_Weather. Meh. Maybe another 1-2" snowfall for Omaha. Sounds like a nothing burger for ME. Sorry if I don't blow my shorts for that. Minny_Weather
OAX with 2-4" for here in the point grid. That's what I'd do too. They've had a fairly good handle on this, sometimes it seems like they're looking at completely different models from us. Not this time. Think a WWA for 2-4" with isolated 6" is in the works. CentralNebWeather
Interesting storm. WWA for the northern part of my area. Models were really off with the heaviest snow from the Easter system. They had warnings for areas north of I80, but it turned out that areas south of the interstate really cashed in, including me. I noticed NWS Hastings disco this morning mentioned it might go north or south. Always good to hedge your bets Hastings.

Omaha snow lovers pretty much need to give up at this point... let’s put this snow season behind us and hope for better weather patterns in the future during Winter. Anyway the severe weather season is now almost upon us! I see hope in the form of 60 degree weather for us in Eastern Nebraska mid next week! Let everyone else have snow on the ground and frigid temps... this guy is ready for some sun and warmer weather!

For a while yesterday the models were looking more like a 3-5" snowfall possible, but that all changed with the 0Z runs last night. CentralNebWeather
I know that this snow and cold weather of the last few weeks has caused havoc with the scheduling of sports activities. Our school was supposed to participate in the following activities on Friday, all have been rescheduled: track meet, golf meet, soccer games, tennis meet. Our AD said in his 20 years of his athletic administration, he doesn't remember a stretch of time that so many activities have been postponed, cancelled, or rescheduled. Example, our soccer team has played 1 game in the last 16 days. He also said trying to find enough indoor spaces for practices for the activities has been difficult.
