Yep! One more cool day tomorrow then the rest of the week will be glorious. Too bad this can’t happen on a weekend too

“Brace yourselves... Spring is Coming!” ☀️

I have never been so glad to see the most of any snow miss us to the north and south these last couple of weeks. This Winter stuff has been dead to me for a while now.

Almost an inch in the first hour.

The snow is finally reaching the ground.  I would love to see that heavy stuff up in the clouds get down here.

2.1" on my snow board from the first band.  That was my ceiling, so anything else that falls is a bonus.

This is a very fluffy snow, more characteristic of December like bud mentioned. Absolutely unreal for April. I wonder if there's any event that compares?

You are right.  I was just out to measure.  I have 3.3 inches.  The top inch is mid-winter fluff.

I don’t recall seeing a single snowflake or sprinkle today here in Omaha. Congrats to those to the east in Iowa, I’m more than ready for spring like temps by midweek.

Yeah I didn't see a flake or sprinkle either today, just a cold, gray and blustery day in Omaha... looks like after tomorrow, we will be getting our long awaited "warm-up" for a few days at least!

For those that wanted snow, looks like the rich got a little bit richer today (i.e. Southern Minnesota, Central and Eastern Iowa)... good for them.

Waking up this morning, I wasn't expecting to see much of anything, but the landscape is white again and I just measured 1.3" on my deck.  Temp is at 31F so there is some fluff to the snow and not the wet variety.  Another stat padder around here and brings us closer to our seasonal norms.

I just glimpsed at the radar and noticed there is some Lehs ongoing into Cook county from the NE winds.  Incredible.

My storm total:

Snow: 3.6"

Liquid: 0.19"

The model average nailed the qpf.  The ratio was just so high (19 to 1) the snow piled up better than I expected.

As daylight emerges, light snow continues to fall, a peaceful yet beautiful scene...in a few days, it will fell like summer...if you love the weather, this is about as extreme as it gets in April from winter to summer in a matter of a few days.

Snowed more overnight. Still had flurries this morning.

Finished with 7.8" for a total! Lost about an inch with compaction. And theres about 5-6 in my driveway. It took longer to stick to the pavement.

Overall i finished with a lot more than expected. NWS never did put me in a Warning though.

Season total is about 51". Way above the 35" seasonal avg.
