St Paul Storm
Today is the first day this season where it has the fall/winter feel. I don't know how to describe it, but there is a certain smell here when we start going into the cold season and I can smell it today. Low tonight is 41 and if it weren't for all this rain we might have hit the 30's tonight.Yep, I know exactly what you’re talking about. Today is the first day of the cold season in my mind. I was outside talking with the neighbors about an hour ago. My neighbor had to go inside as she said ‘it’s frigid out here”. Current temp of 52 but winds of 26 mph creating a Wind Chill of 44. Yesssssss!

Smelled like fall. It's like all these hardwoods let off a smell when they are about to change. Its unmistakable. Now it's going to look and feel like fall very soon.

jaster220
Man, that low down south, near Dallas, TX is a great spot to track up NE towards our area and dump a ton of snow during the Winter months. Only, in Nino years these often slide more easterly from there, thus see 2009-10. Not saying that happens every time over this coming winter, but let's see what kind of hand lady luck is dealing us down the road. Every season has it's twists-n-turns and even very similar tele-connections won't end up with the same net results. That's kinda the fun of it. There's just enough "unknowns" to keep it interesting.
