Currently cloudy and cold. Temps aren't really budging at all from that freezing mark. A few spotty flurries can be seen flying in the air. Snowcover on the ground makes it look so Wintry.

The Memphis metro including my hometown are under a WWA for 1-2" possible tomorrow night. This has the potential to be the largest November snowfall since 1976 or maybe even 1929.

Our local NWS is saying a warm up for the next 3 days, cold and potential snow Saturday, cold Sunday and warmer again for Thanksgiving week.  They also mentioned a stormy pattern ahead for after the Thanksgiving Holiday.  For NWS Hastings to be mentioning this over 10 days away surprised me, as they usually don't talk about things more than a week out.  Interesting.

The 18z FV3 GFS has a powerhouse storm at the end of Thanksgiving weekend then another comes on its heels. We’ll see.

At some point, the action should re-cycle back your way. By what Tom's been posting about the LRC that could be the right time.

I'm impressed reading all the comments on here of the snow and cold records being set.  I did think we would be entering a historic stretch, but I wasn't anticipating Houston setting an all-time early snow record.  Not only that, but we are seeing the impacts of early winter felt from all points of our widespread sub forum and not certain regions.  I've said it all along, this winter is going to be spectacular and what we are witnessing is just a preview of what is coming.  #iceagewinter

Hey all. I'm still around. It was exciting to see snow Monday, but as you noticed, other than it being snow and stupid cold for November, it didn't leave much to write about. I stayed on the marginal temp spot too long but got to see moderate snow for over an hour.

I know it won't be the last. Enjoy the break. That was a warning shot. A heckuva warning shot if you ask me.

Yesterdays high of 30° was the coldest high here at Grand Rapids since April 7th. There were on and off snow showers all day but did not accumulate. The low here at my house so far has been 24.1° the current temperature here is 25.5° Grand Rapids has had 20 cloudy days in a row so today's forecast of mostly sunny later in the day will be welcomed,

It's pretty wild to see Carbondale, IL under a Winter Storm Warning for 3-5" of snow this early in the season.  This brings back memories of Dec '00 when I attended SIUC back in the good ol' days.  I think something similar is setting up for this winter down that way.

Man, this storm bugs me lol. It takes a gorgeous track racing right towards us, then goes "oh s*** better stay away from that part of town" then veers due east right before it hits Chicago. Regardless, if this isn't a sign of an awesome pattern, idk what is. It's MID november, and we're getting snow in Houston for gods sake. This is going to be a good year, I can't wait.

yes, sorry I meant snow/stormy wise.  While it's been cold, this doesn't seem anything close to  2014.  In fact it looks extremely uneventful until after Thanksgiving.  Below normal temps  around the west side for sure.    I see you guys probably will end up with more snow than here.

So far IMBY I have picked up 4.1" of snow and more to come, if you can believe that. Average is 1.6" for the month of November here.

How much snow have you picked up in your neck of the woods so far this month?

Still at below freezing w a current temp of 30F w abundant of sunshine. Feels good to see the sun again after all of these cloudy days. VitaminD bigtime. ;)

Edit: A small pond of water in my sub has frozen over in a thin layer of ice. Cant remember when that happened in November, especially, this early in the month.

Hard to measure due to the warmth still near the lake(Seems to melt quicker than inland), but I've had around 3.1".  GRR has had more for sure, though not sure the total.
