Krakatoa Creates Lightning in Its Most Recent Activity.

29 Oct 2018 – VAAC Darwin regularly reports ash plumes reaching 2-3 km (1.2 to 1.8 miles) high at the Indonesian volcano,

 

Krakatoa has been active since June, however its most recent explosions have created a great deal of notice as the blasts have generated lightning within the explosive clouds. Very cool.

No sign of it calming down anytime soon.

So amazing seeing lightning being generated from a volcanic eruption, its just breathtaking! We sure don't need an eruption of Krakatoa like the on in 1883, that had global impacts that lasted for years!

I remember reading about that one when I was a kid and studying it. I used to be mesmerized by volcanoes. The descriptions of it used to terrify me. Not out of the realm of possibilities to see something like that again.
