About 1.1” on my deck and this weenie band is delivering over NE IL w/ some good rates and sizeable snow flakes ATM. Earlier in the gym, while crushing legs, I witnessed a vision I had way back in the summer...looking out the windows and seeing a snowy scene. Although, I never expected it to happen this early in the season. Glad I was able to capture that moment.

Sweet! Did you by any chance also have a vision of expanding the daily allowance of "likes" for this historic winter? Such could come in handy amigo

Still not falling for HRRR. Dry air is running rampant. We had flurries this morning but that's it. Maybe it'll saturate but not expecting much if anything.

Unfortunately, that's not up my alley and you'd have to make that request to iFred.  Meantime, this band parked right over N IL just keeps back building and the flakes are rather large.  Lovin' every min of it....

Looks to be 2.9" here. Dense and wet. Very typical early season snow.

Just measured 2.8" but i may have lost a bit from compaction. Location nearby reported 3.0"

Huge flakes coming down. Got to think ORD gets close to 2 inches. Great way to start this winter season

I’m under a 30dbz band and by far the fattest flakes of the season...easily half dollar size...

After taking several measurements and figuring there was a bit of compaction I'm going with 2.9" officially. Add the 1.2" on Oct 14th and I'm at 4.1" on the season. Plus I had a couple dustings in between. Nice start to the season!

Another over performing system that looked meager a few days ago...it doesn't get better than this...glad you guys in NE scored a WWA....heck, even OMA is getting some decent returns.  It just seems like this is going to be a season that keeps on giving and "sharing the wealth".

Anyone who watched the Husker game knows that it's coming down pretty well now. The issue is the flakes are tiny and the ground is barely even white. Should hopefully get better as better returns head towards here

I agree, it's nice to see the southern members who've missed out get hit several times already this month and it ain't over.  I think there is one more shot at a potential big one to close out the month if things work out the way I believe they will.  The 25th-28th window of opportunity for a southern Plains cutter is what I'm seeing.  Why not finish off the month with a bang???

Beautiful winter like day! Temp actually fell from 29 to 23 throughout the day. Thick cloud cover and a nice solid snow cover. Love it.

Now at 2” here in Central Nebraska and snow continues. Pretty treacherous on the streets and roads it sounds like. I am in the man cave watching football and celebrating the Husker victory. It is only November 17th and it seems like we have already had a good winter. This winter might be one we remember.

Kind of a dud down here this morning. Nothing stuck. Have been getting pounded since late afternoon. This thing's northern end is just north of 80 moving due east. We could actually end up with a few inches here. Over 1" already that has stuck.

Surprise snow in Omaha today, was expecting only flurries but we probably have a 1/2 to 1 inch of fluffy snow outside on the ground. The Fall to remember just keeps on delivering around here!

Snow coming down moderate right now. Just left a thanksgiving out by Branched oak lake. People in Nebraska know where that is. Measured 1.75-2” in three to four different places. Look to be in a bit of some moderate snow here for at least the next half hour to an hour.

Over an inch of snow now on the ground in SW Omaha, this snowy surprise just keeps on getting better. Streets are icy and snow covered, even on the main arterial roads.

1.5" officially at ORD with places just NW of here in the 2-3" range.

Too lazy to go out and measure, but the grass is covered in most places. I think additional accumulations will be limited. Another overachiever. Models have been absolutely atrocious this year. They do better 7 days out than 24 hours out it seems like.
