It's more breezy this afternoon than it was yesterday, but the temperature is also a bit warmer.

NW winds kept Fullerton above 60 the night before last night. Tonight temperatures have dropped to 52 without the wind.

High clouds are quite thick today. They came in quite suddenly after a clear morning.

Much cloudier, cooler and more humid than at this time yesterday, but we probably won't get a drop of rain.

The National Weather Service has included a chance of showers for us Monday night through Tuesday. Not sure why they bother, as those chances will very likely once again turn to zero as the date draws nearer.

Low clouds once again look to arrive after sunrise this morning. There was an annoying helicopter circling around for a couple of hours last night. Hopefully they found the idiot they were looking for.

A very dry weather forecast for Orcutt. Yeah the rain is done for the season.

Also, this weather forecast for Bangor, ME is very reminiscent of what the rainy season was like this Winter with frequent light to moderate rainy days with plenty of gloomy days and cool temperatures.

UCI was cool and windy, especially in the little mall across from the campus. The campus itself was not as windy though and even though the air was cool, the sun was hot.

Some slopes and fields have already begun turning brown here. Most are still green for now, though.

We are having rollercoaster weather as the NWS has been saying, but it's like a little kiddies rollercoaster compared to what they can have in other parts of the country where one day it's 80 and 24 hours later it's snowing.

 

Anyway, I like rollercoaster weather more than being stuck in a trough or ridge pattern for weeks.

Marine layer still remains pretty shallow this morning, but it will likely be deepening throughout the day. It's looking like a typical spring hazy day.

Last week on Tuesday Fullerton reached a high of 79 F while Foothill Ranch only made it to 72 F.

Today Fullerton has only got up to 68 F so far, while Foothill Ranch has reached 72 F so far.

Foothills near Menifee today have already turned completely brown again. They were green when I went through there a month ago.

Highs were surprisingly cool today given the abundant sunshine, the high April sun angle, and lack of a strong sea breeze until late afternoon. That's also why it felt warmer than it was until the late afternoon when the sea breeze got stronger.

Blythe, on the CA/AZ border picked up 0.01" from the storm. So far nothing measurable here.

Lovely day in Julian today, for those who love gray foggy damp cold weather. I know there are quite a few.

While I wish some actual rain came with this weather, it is very pleasant outside with sort-of dark, cloudy skies dominating today.

 

I wonder when we'll get our next real storm. October? November?

Las Vegas is getting more rain than us, but still a pathetic 0.03" so far, despite a nice looking radar loop.

 

They dropped from 68 to 53 in the last 3 hours. Normally a cold front of that kind would cause some thunderstorms.

For the 4th straight day, the OCTA bus was 10 minutes late. If they hope to reduce the number of cars over the next 10 years, they need to make some less dismal public transportation services.
