WWA expanded to cover St Paul and Mpls. 3-5” in the point now. Short term models showing a secondary weenie band setting up close by that would push totals closer to 6”. We’ll see. Just started snowing here a bit ago.

I slept thru everything, but it looks like we got under an inch. Everything is white but the grass is still pretty well exposed.

It's nice to see central Iowa getting it this morning.  It just started snowing here in Cedar Rapids... still expecting 1, maybe 2 inches.

 

One thing I've noticed.  All of these weaker waves/clippers are hitting during the day while the bigger storms are hitting at night.

It looked decent when I woke up this morning and saw the Des Moines area getting hit pretty good and the snow was moving ene.  However, it now appears Cedar Rapids is in the screw zone.  It began snowing an hour ago, but dry air quickly moved back in and ended the snow.  We've received nothing at all for the last hour.  A batch of heavy snow is now moving through Iowa City(yellow/orange on radar), but there is nothing falling in Cedar Rapids.  We'll have to get lucky just to see an inch out of this.

Follow the headlines map. Just a very strange splitting of the energies north and south causing a huge dead zone in the middle from your area and eastward. A little tries to get going in SMI but we'll see..

I’m in Guttenberg and it started snowing 25 minutes ago and we’re just under 3/4”. No wind. It’s beautiful
