On the bright side, the sun wont set there for a little over 80 days during summer.

Yes. And sleeping there is a nightmare in the summer. And mosquitoes are the state bird.

I could only imagine. Heard the mosquitoes get huge up there.

I was watching “Alaska State Troopers” the other night and a trooper was out looking at an illegal bear hunting site and the trooper was almost completely covered in Mosquitos. That would not be enjoyable.

Seems strange to have mosquitoes in an Arctic climate.

Trade for Mariota. Couldn’t be worse than TruBUSTky and at least Helfrich knows how to use Marcus.

Unfortunately, I think Mariota and Trubisky are very similar QBs. Both look good at times, and downright awful others. Very inconsistent.

In my experience mosquitoes are just as bad in alpine or arctic climes as they are in the tropics. They are just out for a much shorter period and don't carry as many dreadful diseases. But go hiking in the Cascades in July and you will be eaten alive.

I imagine not. However, they can be bad in the desert. I went camping way out in the SE Oregon desert this summer and we actually had to move to a different camp ground because the bugs were so bad.

I saw Mariota live about 10 times when he was in college. I went to 7 games his Heisman season in 2014. I really thought he would make it in the NFL. He had a good arm, if you watch him in college and then a few years later in the NFL his throwing mechanics fell apart. I am sure the coaching carousel hasn't helped him, but when you compare his mechanics from 2014 to say 2018, it is night and day. The NFL is an unforgiving league. He will latch on somewhere probably as a backup, he will make a couple million a year to wear a visor on Sundays and be ready for another chance which may never come.

Dancing with the Stars is kind of stupid with all the voters always keeping the dancers with the lowest scores in, but it's better than watching nothing.

The more viewers it loses, the more the voters screw things up by voting stupidly.

One of my favorite shows use to be Man vs Wild with Bear Grylls. Until I found out he was sleeping overnight in hotels instead of out in the wild like the show portrayed him as doing.

But yeah, it was pretty straightforward.

I had my boys watch it this past summer... they liked it too.

It's fun turning them onto movies that they were too young to watch when they originally came out.

The Prestige is a favorite of mine.

Really, almost anything Christopher Nolan makes including Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, and Memento, which Flatiron mentioned earlier.

Another phenomenal (albeit dark) movie: Prisoners. Whew man - That's a good one.

I just meant The Departed was complex as in, like a lot of people, you have to pay attention. Otherwise you dont know who the informant, undercover, bad guys are etc... A lot of people tune out to that stuff. They just want special effects and explosions.

Independence Day and movies of its like are piles of cow-dung.
