45 degree drizzle here. Feels like Christmas 🙂 🎄

55 degree rain here..beautiful weather! Perfect for outdoor activities that don’t involve electronics (seriously, it feels great). :)

Also haven’t seen any sub-60*F rain in 7+ months so that makes it even better.

This is looking impressive.  A lot of members -3 or lower now.  The second time this month where the 850s go over a cliff!

Looks more impressive than that on radar and not seeing much shadowing evident. Im thinking wetter than progged.

Radar looking less impressive now.    I am thinking just sprinkles at most during the game

Did you even get down to the 30s last night. Pretty mild Christ ✝️Mas.

40 last night.

Averages for December 25th are 41/32.

We’ve seen frosty Christmas’s 4 of the last 5 years.

Possibly... at least early in the game.

Rain is moving though at a good clip and its light... but there is still rain offshore so it will take awhile to clear Seattle.

Euro fail.

Euro fail.

Not at all.

Looks like its right on target... rain moved in early in the morning and looks like its fading now.

That is exactly what it showed when I posted that map... you said the rain might arrive during the game and I said the ECMWF showed it moving through faster. ;)

12Z ECMWF shifted west again... looks like more of a NE flow set up for the Seattle area one week from today.

That is a natural grass field... it would not be like that in Seattle even in heavy rain.

Its not even sprinkling here now... just high overcast. I think the game will be basically dry.

Looks good. We keep recycling this every 7 to 10 days through November and we are in the goods. Remember what Jim Little always used to say. Get the cold air in place first.

No doubt the block is shifted westward and thicknesses over the Seattle area end up lower than previous runs. It doesn't have the oomph of some earlier runs, but the other details look better. Still looking like an extremely favorable surface pressure gradient angle for the Central Puget Sound to overperform in the cold department. The massive piece of surface high to our NW deadens the easterly gradient which is great for us.

Interesting how this could be #3 this month, will really lower the departures for the month.

Oh I know, remember Tim, I lived there for 15 years. Just dont want anything to re-trigger Carson's fumbleitis. The rain would be just the thing to do it!

It was dry all night with rain the past couple hours in Seattle. Not what the Euro showed. Don't trust it for the game.
