Another fake vacation already?

You might give Tim a run for his money.

Sometimes life sets ground rules, and all you can do is use your imagination. :(

In my mind... we just came in from the pool after a day of fun in the sun.

In reality... I am living in my parents basement and I don't really have a family.

Brother I’ve been there...

Seemed to happen a lot in my parent’s bathroom.

My condolences.

Stayed the night at coplay lake last night. Hiked to the top of bear head mountain this afternoon. Roughly 6” of snow in the shaded north side of the mountain

Great pics. I love the Clearwater wilderness. Cool area that is pretty unknown compared to other places around Rainier.

Nice to have another person who randomly goes into the backcountry year round on here.

Yep I like to hit the mountains any time of year. This was actually my first time up to bear head, excellent views just fantastic.

To answer the question about leaf blowers...well they blow leaves? I wasn’t aware that we had to have opinions on leaf blowers now haha.

In the city limits of Seattle they have made it almost impossible for anyone to have AC because of the noise. Bunch of, nose in the air, nuts!! What do you expect people to do? Throw ice cubes at each other? Lol.

This coming from a man that worked and owned a business in HVAC for 14 years in the area.

38 here currently with a heavy fog/inversion. Wouldnt be surprised to see a few flurries overnight.

Temps not gonna drop much lower. You’ll learn the ropes over here soon tho. It’s really fun when the inversion is going strong and the temp doesn’t go much above 30 for the daytime high. Slick streets, accidents, and of course, the ice tree I’ll make.

Very interesting how the 12z ECMWF and 18z GFS look almost identical at day 10.  Looks like they are both working on putting up a GOA ridge.

That's one of the things I love about Central WA....the ice coated trees in the winter when the icy fogversions get going good.  I've seen it a few times on this side of the mountains, but it's hard to pull off.

I know. Not even close to that pattern. A little wish-casting :).

A month from now itll be different.

18z ensembles look improved as well.

A lot of modestly chilly ones.  I hope the 12z Euro / 18z GFS are onto something with that offshore ridge building around day 10.

Pretty interesting things going on with the sun.  There was a wannabe spot that emerged for such a short time they didn't even put a value on it.  I've never see them number a region, but not give it any value before.  Also...the AP is really getting low now.  It's been around 3 for a couple of days now.  That is VERY low.

On the leaf blower issue I come down on the side of not using one unless you have a huge area to clean up.  I usually like doing things the hard way for the exercise.

Lol why are we even debating using a leaf blower still? I guess the weather really IS that boring right now...

Hopefully the GOA block sets up, maybe we can start debating how to remove snow if we get some soon, are snow blowers too loud?

I do get a kick out of someone who lives in a city and complains about noise.

My advice is to put yourself in a position to be able to move away from the city and get away from the said noise that's so bothersome

And be more than 3 minutes away from a Starbucks? They can't have that!! Lol.

Lol, where did I claim to be an “expert” on leaf blowers? That anything I posted today could have been construed that way is hilarious.
