4.7 and 4.8 Earthquakes

There was a 4.7 and 4.8 Earthquake off of Vancouver Island. Is the Pacific Rim of Fire waking up for a big one soon?

It has been active on the earthquake front down here in Socal recently as well with the 5.1 quake centered in La Habra last Friday evening along with its foreshocks and aftershocks, and a 4.4 quake earlier in the month near Westwood (West Los Angeles).

It makes sense it would wake up. I'm surprised its been so quiet considering how the rest of the Ring of Fire has been so heavily active. To make it even weirder there was a 4.4 in Canada, a mid continental quake. Could be ice, but interesting and Oklahoma from Ok City in to Kansas remains very active with over 100 quakes now. That's too far west for the New Madrid. Just for fun, Yellowstone has been experiencing a recent swarm and geologists have discovered the magma chamber is like twice the size they originally thought. No fears of eruptions though.

No one can predict these things but it does look like the west coast is deciding to join in.
