May 2020 Weather discussion for the PNW

EPS looking pretty decent for convective chances next weekend too. It’s a ways off, but a setup worth watching IMO.

And would like overnight/AM storms as well. In the Spring those are nearly impossible to come by these days.

Yikes, I think Jesse hacked the long range EPS.

That’s some serious troughing projected by the majority of ensemble members.

Long range looks ugly. Hope it changes.

Sunny and 70 here... perfect May day.

I wish tomorrow's all day rain would have held off until Tuesday. At least one of the days this holiday weekend was sunny and pleasant.

Yeah that would have been much preferred.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Yikes, the long range EPS looks cool for the PNW.

That’s some serious troughing projected by the majority of ensemble members.

Yeah, I saw days 7-10 trended cooler but didn’t post about it. Hope it verifies!

Whole weekend has been great!

You would say that even if we had a foot of snow and you wear shorts when its 38 and raining... so you are not a good gauge!

It can change in July, Oregon needs the rain.

It does not matter... its just pointless opinions. We have no water issues up here and it would be nice not to have a rainy June. We don't worry too much about Oregon... similar to how nobody down there cares that its been a wet year so far up here.

We can debate this for hours but nature is still going to do whatever its going to do. ;)

Right nature will do whatever it wants and you are the one saying it’s ugly and purposely hoping it changes. Just let it be for once.....

Let what be? Literally everyone offers their opinion on here. It could rain for 3 months straight and some people would still be telling us they are hoping for more rain. That is fine... does not make it happen.

GFS was pretty ugly in the long range as well. Probably going to pay for a few nice days with another 2 weeks of daily rain.

18z GFS long range looks wonderful here. At least until that cold front from the GoA drops in.

Yeah... 50s and rain can wait until October. But it won't.

D7-10 is nothing compared to D11-15.

There’s a negative 500mb anomaly intense enough that it looks like an operational run.

Not worried about anything, tomorrow will be a blessed day no matter the weather.

You seem worried about me being worried!

But I am not worried. This holiday weekend has already exceeded my low expectations.

This thread is dead as a doornail/Dewey’s hangnail.

Surprised more people aren’t excited about the early-June troughing. Starting to look legit.
