Coolest August in the post-1998 era coming up. Maybe.

Doubt it’ll match 1995, but +EPO/+NPO/zonal flow indications are present until the final 10 days of the month, at earliest.

Probably too warm initially?

The EPS had been overdoing long range warmth over the intermountain west/PNW all summer.

Everyone here likes warm summer days...there’s also nothing wrong with liking a couple rainy days in the summer. Definitely doesn’t rain 9 months out of the year either. We definitely do get 1-2 week dry stretches outside of the summer often like we did this April or last November.

Yeah last rainy season in particular was so long. We got about as much rain here from Feb-May as the average Feb-May precipitation in notoriously soggy Salt Lake City. Better enjoy the only 8 weeks of nice weather we get per year!

Not a war... he said it was another horrible summer.

This summer has been significantly better than last summer in my area... regardless of temperatures.    It rained way more frequently than normal in July and August of last year.

Happy trees, fewer wildfires, and code green air quality sounds like a good trade to me. Plus you don’t have to use a green filter if it’s already green outside. 🙂

Things are definitely drying out much more normally this summer. Its climo to have dry conditions here in July and August. Nice change of pace for a few weeks.

Here is the part of our yard that I don’t really maintain other than to mow when it gets long. This is what it normally looks like at this time of year. Last summer was the exception. To me... this just says we have had some fun summer days on the water. :)
