NWS blowing it again here. Forecasted low of 33F with Rain, currently 31F with freezing rain/fog, and a screaming SE wind..ice everywhere..

Wind through the trees sounds like a jet airplane..adding in the ZR makes this a dangerous combo..

Did you say that you liked freezing rain?

Time lapse of the snow bands passing just to the south of downtown Buffalo... insane.   I would have to go cross that line.   It would suck to watch that all day and never have it move over your location.   Although at the end of the video it appears to be bowing northward a little.

Another view of the snow wall... I see the same buildings in this pic as the one above.

Holy smokes at the winds last night..apparently a peak gust from the SSE @ 76mph! Not trolling..that 70kt low-level jet was right at my elevation...that's the highest gust I've had in awhile. Terrible night sleep for all of us..my daughter had to sleep in our bed.

Lost a shutter on the house despite that side of the house facing away from the wind. The grill was blown off the deck, as was one of the tables. Lost a bunch of shingles too, most of which were from the SW side of the house. Also lost a medium sized limb.

Any pics?

Thing is, the airmass is actually warmer than average for this time of year, and conditions aloft look poor for dendritic growth..so I'm not sure we'll even hit 6"..so could be fairly pedestrian..

It's going to be a cold one up there this year Phil.
Hope you laid in a supply of wood or heating oil. Texas is damp and chilly.
Any forecasts for Texas ?
