It's performed it's mission despite setbacks going 17,500 mph in orbit. Not bad !

In time Hubble's orbit will deteriorate and it will plunge to earth and burn up, except the mirrors.

A controlled descent is engineered to allow them to return safely to earth into the ocean.

A new telescope is replacing it. It will be positioned beyond the moon.
