Ridge Suppression this Warmer Season …

… Extent or Degrees of .. perhaps more apt. 
 
— In a thread perhaps similar to this one, looking a future warmer-season's character more pattern focused where considering main ridge generation and development, that thread's looking perhaps more at the extent of amplification of whatever ridging is generated. Also a focus of what I've looked at here below, if with a lesser emphasis. 
 
So "ridge suppression", … 
 
With no doubt (granted.) certainly some, more significant ridging having been generated this current warmer season to this point here in the West, … As I've viewed the idea leastwise—and with ridging being looked at here more south where I am in more typical years as a main heat generating element of main patterning—this either whether where positioned more centrally over inland CA, or either otherwise with the main higher pressure resulting with a ridge's being focused and centered more westward with its main CCW turning working to steer downslope compression type winds and heat our way—whatever of this more substantial ridging, has in fact been fairly short-lived. This with various types of ridge "suppression" appearing to have predominated more. 
 
— The idea, if perhaps somewhat unclear here, .. with what has looked more initially like the beginning of a ridging type set up set to develop, another element's of main patterning having moved in to stifle that development. Mainly the movement of colder air, either whether more longitudinally or latitudinally, into the space having appeared to set to be filled in by a ridge. 
 
So the general timeline. From earlier this warmer season, to the present. 
 
And with this, my own views as to why whatever level of suppression had been the case more.
