Andie
http://newsok.com/abilene-drenched-with-more-than-8-inches-of-record-rainfall/article/feed/860781 This is a one day record since records have been kept since 1886. Understandably, Abilene is a pretty flat area and not prepared for these deluges. The storm that day was part of a stalled front that just sat there all day and dropped heavy showers. It's been a very rainy year here and we have received a years rain as of June. Lakes are still being slowly released into rivers and some lakes are not allowing boating due to debris just under the surface. We expect our first 100* day next week. Black Hole
This was pretty amazing. I saw pics from my finacees family of the lake by their house overflowing and running down the roads. Crazy!
