Euro is looking pretty chilly by the middle of next week. Let’s hope it holds. -
An absolute stain on whatever legacy Biden might have: https://www.cnn.com/2024/03/27/opinions/gaza-israel-resigning-state-department-sheline/index.html

He is going to 9/11 this until his bitter end. Whether it is a peaceful ousting or a Yitzhak Rabin-ing remains to be seen.

Nah, UC

I thought trotsky was another name for someone with Crohn’s Disease.

Genosser, a true Trotskyite would understand that the reactionary is flawed from birth and cannot be saved as their continued existence is a parasitic one to the cause of the people. In order to liberate the worker, you must liberate the reactionary of their earthly existence. It is only then that when they find their personal burdens freely painted onto a brick wall, that they can find their true place in a global revolution.

Just for that, there is now a cell in the gulag with your name on it. -
Funny to think that we had similar childhoods, but one of us grew up to be an evil sun loving robber baron who lives a gilded lifestyle that is tucked away in a princely chalet, while the other is an ice storm loving revolutionary willing to die for the people.

You’re pretty spot on there, but the fact you engage with a capitalist institutions and do little to fight for the cause would make you more of a Maoist.

If you haven’t done so yet check out Point Defiance area now in Tacoma. The whole water front unbelievable. Restaurants galore as well. One of my favorite hang outs now! -

I think I had a 7/16 day last January. And a foot of snow on the trailing edge of that same cold snap. -

Thunderstorm! -
Those were the nicest summers in the last 125+ years here. I think we had something like 10-15 days total that were 90°F+, and they were low/mid 90s. Hard to believe that even happened. Looking back at the weather pattern in those years it looks completely foreign to everything I’ve come to know over the last 2 decades.

.15” on the day, 4.15” for the month. 53/39 on the day. Currently 44 degrees.
-
8 degrees for a low and I believe I had an 18 degree high during the boring January event. 4” was my greatest 24hr snowfall which was just a few weeks ago. Total snowfall 9”

I'm curious, what's the coldest high temp and low temp for everyone this year, total snowfall, and largest Snow event? -7 low here which is maybe slightly cooler than our average coldest low, coldest high of 2 which was a midnight high, daytime high was -1 that day. 84" seasonal snow total (so far), largest 24hr event of 21" but it was probably more than that, because fluffy sub zero snow compacts VERY easily. -
