  1. Screw it... got all the patio furniture out today. Will just have to play flip-the-cushions-up game forever as it will not actually stop raining.
  2. Just a reminder... that is actually early Friday morning and tomorrow afternoon or evening.
  3. ECMWF site updated their maps... http://stream.ecmwf.int/data/atls14/data/data03/scratch/render-atls14-98f536083ae965b31b0d04811be6f4c6-lWptbe.png http://www.ecmwf.int/en/forecasts/charts/catalogue/medium-z500-t850-public?time=2017050312,0,2017050312&projection=classical_north_america
  4. 12Z ECMWF fires the convection tomorrow afternoon in SW WA and then focuses the intense rain along the I-5 corridor and over the Puget Sound in the evening. Actually seems to be west of Portland and my area until it shifts eastward early on Friday morning. But Portland looks to be pounded between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Friday morning:
  5. So its likely that we continue to follow the evolution of thos years through the warm season?
  6. Just stay as close as possible to the homeless encampment previously known as downtown Seattle and all is good!
  7. Friday - Sunday look better on the WRF... at least good for sun-breaky weather and maybe mostly sunny by Sunday.
  8. Nah... the longer it goes the more likely it becomes that the heart of summer and next fall will be really nice.
  9. I think it has not been raining for .07 percent of the time here since April 15.
  10. The disaster has begun. Thankfully it looks like Victoria might be spared today. And then we have to deal with lightning in what will be a tinder box by tomorrow afternoon. Like everywhere else in the world... we need rain every single day to avoid tragedy.
  11. Looking good next week to avoid any nice weather. Here was the 12Z GFS yesterday morning for next Tuesday afternoon... http://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/gfs/2017050212/gfs_z500_mslp_namer_31.png And the new 12Z GFS today for the same time... http://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/gfs/2017050312/gfs_z500_mslp_namer_27.png
  12. Please keep us updated on when trees start dying. Drizzle is letting up here now and I am getting nervous.
  13. Still have heavy drizzle here. I am praying we can get through a warm morning tomorrow without major forest fires and lakes disappearing before the heavy rain returns tomorrow afternoon.
  14. Waking up to drizzle and fog... and it will be raining again tomorrow. Quite the break from the rain! Can we reach 24 hours?? Side note - 00Z ECMWF shows rain on 9 out 10 days now up here. The break next week is already falling apart.
