February 6th-7th Plains/MW/Lower Lakes System

Recommended Posts

Just finished cleaning out the snow and quite shocking as to how much stronger the sun angle this time of the year is. Snow was melting even w temps in the lower 20s.

IF there's even a hint of road salt residue like on your driveway tracked in from the street, it'll melt instantly. I'm hoping for warmer temps during the next snow. These

Views from my balcony this beautiful morning.

1-2” expected here tonight. This would just about get us back to normal snowfall season to date at 31”. Quite the comeback.

Puking huge flakes right now.  Visibility just a few blocks in town.  If this keeps up we might push 4" or more.  Winter wonderland here.

Snowblowers usually tend to work better in powdery snow, rather than high water content snowfall. Therefore, I prefer "Powda". ;) :D

Was your forecast 1-2? Seems like i picked up more than some did down south. Opposite of the forecast.

A couple days before, 1-1.5" was possible, but models backed off as it approached.  One run of the NAM removed all snow, so I'll take 0.6".
