Those EURO maps look nice. The GFS ensembles have been gradually cooling and the FV-3 continues to keep us on the cool side of the split flow with cooler air filtering into BC throughout the run.

Still only 33 at PDX as of 11am while it is 41 in Salem with sunshine and 39 in Eugene. Kind of the opposite of what we usually see on these low cloud/fog days.

14 32 and below readings so far for us here. I would imagine SLE is close to that as well.

FV3 continues to be off on its own.

screenshot-357.png

Yeah well Fv-3 snow maps...

Nothing shown on the FV-3 through hour 168 would produce snow to the valley floor, or even below 1000-2000'.

Thanks man. It is amazing the pics the phones take these days.

Your pics look like they could be taken out of my door, we are having the same, beautiful weather with snow on the ground and on the trees.

Seeing your pics and contrasting them to Mossman's pics are exactly why I like it over here so much better, especially during the winter.

Oh come on now...I rather enjoyed frolicking in the mud on Saturday keeping the water away from my house! So serene with the lovely sound of rushing water and tromping rubber boots through the mud...

Ouch! Your battle against water a little more intense then mine...you win!

Yeah if I could I would post the videoclip I took that was pretty impressive with the amount of water that was flowing! Going to be a super easy fix with a backhoe and a days worth of work. Going to wait until things dry out though. For now my little handmade trench did the trick!

Looks like another windstorm for Seattle on Thursday. You know, I would love one of those to hit near Forks or Victoria instead of N. Vancouver Island. Pretty please? I'm getting just a little jealous.

In general it seems this GFS run is really nice for far NW Washington. Heavy rain, high winds, stormy all around.

Always blows my mind how fast it can get cold up here. Had a low of 3 above under fair skys. If it stays clear tonight should drop well below zero.

I was in Deer Park this morning at 5am...it was 9 degrees. My house was 24. Were actually selling our house in Fruitland and looking at Moving to Deer Park area, maybe Mead or Chattaroy, to be closer to my new job in Spokane.

I love snow, but I have been liking the extreme cold I have experienced in eastern Montana and the high country in North Idaho and eastern wa the last few years.

It's funny, people on here have been complaining about the pattern being Nino-ish, yet on the eastern weather forums they're complaining about how it's been "Nina-ish". And that pattern would certainly be more Nina-like.
