So this isn't even over, right? I mean, Im looking at another 3-9" by tomorrow morning, potentially, if it stays cool enough. Then it warms up just a bit, but we settle right back into a cooler pattern?

Even under lighter return the temp has really not budged and there's another heavy wave about to hit.

Incredible Snowmizer!

When do you think they will shift, if at all?  Also, the GEM is showing a watered down repeat of today on Friday lol.

Well the WRF has 925mb temperatures warming and winds stuck in a bit of a limbo between outflow/SE between 11pm tonight and 8am tomorrow. I'm not sure how good a read it has on the current conditions, but that would be the time where we could see some melt/drizzle. The atmospheric profile is probably too cold for rain, so if there is significant precip it will probably be wet snow.

Been somewhat shadowed most of the day here and only added 2" for a 19" total.  Snow has stopped and sitting at 32F.  It's not too often that I get out snowed by Sea-Tac but I like to see those records fall.  This has been and looks to continue to be a remarkable month.

Crazy that you got that little. I have totaled about 5” today so far.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

I really hope we get at least some flurries tonight at my elevation. If only to prove the people so sure it WILL NOT snow because it is 40 degrees outside.

Hrrrr seems to have settled on a transition to snow from about Albany/Salem north east of the Willamette River around 6-8am.

Why hasn't seattle NWS put out urban flood advisories, at least for the South sound? With the radar like this on top of a foot+ of snow, lots of people will wake up to unpleasant surprises in their basements and local roads in the morning

I'm going to make this post with some consideration to the folks that get left out in the snow. With that being said, overrunning events are by far my least favorite as the wet heavy stuff can wreak havoc around the region with downed trees and power outages. Letting the sun thaws things out slowly is better manageable than the rain turning things into a slushy mess. Next couple days is going to be disgusting all around with highs in the 40s and rain.

Higher areas west of the Willamette too? I'm just a little west of downtown PDX.

It is a rate dependent event. Precip rate needs to be very high to bring the snow level down after the front passes and the south winds die, so if you see snow it is likely to be quite the opposite of a flurry.

Hrrr is a little more progressive with the band of heavy precip. That is why the area it shows it effecting is a little smaller.

8.5" NE of Redmond at 550ft for this evening. There's generally about 16-21" on the ground depending on the surface and amount of shade it received after the first snow. 31" So far for the month.

SE wind are helping keep us between 29 and 30 degrees. I'm skeptical of how long it will last but am enjoying it for now!

Not seeing any signs of a changeover happening here anytime soon. Still 31 with moderate snow.

Same here. Gonna hit 9 or 10" at this rate.

Will add I'm hearing tree branches breaking every so often.

Looks like Mark is saying snowfall is very unlikely. I know it was a longshot, but we just cannot catch a break, can we?
