February Snowfalls 2/10-2/12, Part III & IV

So is the low supposed to stall over the ocean for so long? Seems to me like it's not moving over last 4 hours..

Models did show the frontal aspect taking its time over land, so maybe?

7.0" as of 10:45. Totally snowed in right now. Was going to go the store 8 blocks away but snow is too deep on the road to move.

Here there is like 18" of the ground now!

Hrrr run shows the front more draped along the foothills and then back out through the valley around Albany. Not a great scenario for most outside those areas.Be interesting to see if the NAM hangs onto the idea of that secondary wave of moisture tomorrow night being the main show.

Looks like another wave of heavy precip coming into the Seattle metro from the southwest before it tapers off later.

Just measured 15.5” on a chair in my backyard. I’ve officially beat 2008 and 2012 where I peaked at 14” during both events.

Officially the most snow I’ve ever had in my life!! Never would have thought that at all 3 weeks ago!

Did one more round of shoveling before bed. Still snowing. 31.6 degrees. Will need to borrow my neighbors tractor again to dig my way down my driveway in the morning. Incredible history making stuff here!

The 0z FV3-GFS and GEM also seem to be showing something then. This event feels strange, it's so similar to a typical overrunning event that it's hard to imagine it won't warm up and switch to rain tomorrow.

In other news it looks like YYJ will record another sub-freezing high.

Nice my power went out but my radio still works weird.

Edit nvm just flashed and Internet out

Power is out here. Happened just after a bright blue flash blinded me outside.

Temp has increased to 42. I'm not feeling this one.

Neither is NWS. Oh well, maybe another time. Would have been really nice.

First night in a long time there’s been no mention of the Euro while it was running. It’s not a bad run my any stretch.

Too busy digging out here... have to do it in stages.     Just got in and I need to get sleep because I will be out there at 5 a.m. doing it again.   <_>

Yeah it becomes a nightmare if you wait too long. That’s why I did it one more time. Less work in the morning. Think I will need to get a snowblower for future winters...however it’s been one work out routine that I haven’t minded doing!

Not much to look forward to, unfortunately. Northern folks are riding high and won't top their current totals. Southern folks will get left out of whatever does occur and are ready for spring  ;)

Its a nice, warm, and fuzzy feeling knowing we will have more snow here in Everett than in Boston.

Fixed.

00z Euro doesn't look too bad. Low-ish snow levels Thursday night, over the weekend, and next week. Nice 500mb look at day 10 with another shot of snow in the lowlands. Certainly no 55 degree rain scenarios popping up, which is really nice.

On another note, snow let up a little bit ago and now just getting some flurries with a temp of 29. Looks like we got 6.5 inches. Pleasantly surprised with how well the cold has held on here.

How low do the snow levels look to get?
