March 7th Snow Potential

The GFS has dried a bit from previous runs, which is expected considering how much drier other models are.  The GFS is also different in that it is focusing the best snow over Iowa whereas other models are focusing on Nebraska and weakening the band significantly over Iowa.

season snowfall: 34.8"

'22-23: 30.2"      '21-22: 27.1"      '20-21: 52.5"      '19-20: 36.2"      '18-19: 50.2"      '17-18: 39.5"

Average snowfall: ~30"

12z GFS - After days of being wetter and farther north than other models, the GFS has finally caved.  It looks like an inch or less here.

The Oma-dome has turned into a snow magnet this year. I still feel the heaviest snow with this one is going to barely miss us to the north, however it seems to be that kind of Winter around here.

Right? It can't even be like a joke anymore, you guys just broke a record for most snow in 3 months. If anything, it's completely a magnet. Meanwhile in Chicago........

My gosh, that might shift far enough south to put my area back in play.  I was not expecting much of anything from this storm, probably still not.  What an odd winter this has been.  Last minute shifts back and forth, you never know for sure if you're in the sweet spot or not.

Nam with a slight shift south on the 18z. The Platte river will find a way to keep this thing from coming too far south. Also watches are going up in the northern part of the state. It looks like these areas including Norfolk will have a chance to make up with their snow totals for the season in the next couple of days.

Tomorrow we'll hit 55* Low 42*

Then 69* Thursday

74* Friday! ....................I may break out the wine!

74* Saturday.

Yeah baby!
