Large thunderstorm moving into North Texas.

67*

83% humidity.

Nice thunder rumbling and getting very dark.

The lake and river folks won't be happy. The lakes are releasing the maximum they can and all rivers here are quite full and dangerous as to currents. The Trinity River is way up.

At 3:30 were at 84*. Sunny, clear skies.

Humdity dropped to 50%.

So, I haven't been paying attention to Canadian weather. Are they in a drought?

It’s thick, and it’s creating ozone issues here today.

Up to 89F and still ticking up.

Incredible rebound in your neck of the woods. Reminds me sorta of last year when suddenly you appeared into a heat wave after an abysmal start to the month. Enjoy it! I’m basking in the heat here as well. Topping out in the upper 90’s. Looking forward to summer wx back home. Leaving here just as the summer heat builds.

The high temperture here was held down because of the hazy sunshine from the wildfires. We made it up to 81, and the forecast high was 86. May 16 was our warmest day here in Cedar Rapids, when we got up to 90 degrees.

There are some isolated storms devloping to the northwest. We may or may not get these storms as they slowly move.

We had 18” of snow in mid April last year and on Memorial Day we had temps in the low 100s. I love living in the Midwest because of the extreme differences in weather.

Meanwhile, topped out at 89F here and now a severe t-storm warning one county north of me.

Enjoy the heat,Tom. And then safe travels home.

I had nothing to do today so I decided to go down and check out Indian Cave State Park in the southeast corner of the state. A lot of areas were closed (including the cave) due to flooding but there was still a lot of trails available. You can see the water taking over the road and theres also a picnic area underwater. I liked it overall. It's a pretty place and even the drive there is green, rolling hills (especially south of NE City), not quite fitting the flat Nebraska stereotype. Hopefully I can make it back after the cave reopens again.

Glad to hear you had a great time. I heard Sat was the pick day of the MDW holiday weekend.

Edit: That skyline never gets old...

Not only that, but it's on the rise (pun intended). I love skyscrapers. Always have. Thus fascinated to see more just popping up like mushrooms in season!
