snow_wizard
SEA set a low of 40 this morning which is their earliest 40 or below since 2002 which also had a low of 40 on October 1. I'm guessing it's probably in the top five for earliest 40 or below in the past 50 years. Thankfully 2002 isn't an analog due to incorrect solar and ENSO. Meanwhile it dropped to 33 here this morning. Fell one degree short of my goal, but it was still frosty. Quote Death To Warm Anomalies! Frontal Snowsquall
I think their reasoning was that it cost them something like 1.3 cents to make and distribute a coin that only has a value of 1 cent. The U.S. penny now costs more to manufacture than its face value, but our Federal government tends to be a little on the slow side when it comes to realizing the obvious and implementing the obvious solution. The US also needs to adopt polymer banknotes like they do up there and in other countries. Harder to counterfeit compared to the paper banknotes we have now and also last longer.
