It is? Next weekend looked really watered down on this run. 

It looks like cold air starts moving into the north sound at hour 180 which is early Sunday.  I thought yesterday we were looking at Monday night/Tuesday.  I could be wrong and thinking of the Euro.

Obviously this will change, probably dramatically, but still fun to look at it.

Looks like the north sound gets the colder air but less snow.  Okay with me as long as we have snow on the ground through the cold spell.

IDK 2008 was pretty gnarly down here. Snow, freezing rain, wind, more snow, flooding....

Even though we likely aren't about to see several feet of snow all across the region it's a decent bet that snow and cold are coming. Wouldn't surprise me honestly if decent snow came out of it but I want to keep my expectations in check.

That event was totally insane. 

 

It was. Forest Grove had a 13/-11 day on 1/12/1909 with 15" of snowcover. Downtown Portland had eight consecutive highs in the teens. And Agassiz, BC had a high of -5 on 1/8/1909, which is the coldest day that I'm aware of in the western lowlands.
