Kayla
Wet deck. 53 degrees. Heat is on. Whaaaaat, because it's 53 degrees first thing in the morning?? Does your house have insulation?? We haven't run our heat since April and regularly dropped into the 20's in May with highs in the low 40's with an average temp of 49F. We have 4 inch foam insulation but still, it sure sounds like your house is losing way too much heat. Jesse
I run the A/C in the evening and at night to keep the temp at 66, then on these chilly mornings I bump the heat on to 68-69 to take the chill off. It stays near 70 in the house most of the day from there but it does creep up to about 74 with nothing running. The house is actually very well insulated but It’s all about preferences with temps. Have A/C and heat with a very energy efficient Geothermal system so we can keep things tweaked to exactly how we like the house. You would have made a great pioneer.
