Wanted to share that we had our little Luke born yesterday at 10:32AM. 9 lbs, 7 oz. Healthy baby, healthy momma. So happy.

Drizzle sunset paid off  .01 in the bucket and this beautiful rainbow tonight

Absolutely beautiful shot of the NEOWISE comet over Mt. Rainier and some blue noctilucent clouds on the horizon.

Hmm it was hotter further north today. Much of Vancouver island was warmer than the numbers being reported from western Washington

Models were showing that for the last 2 or 3 days.

I wasn’t paying too much attention I guess.

Hanford got to 113.

Blazin' hot out there today. Makes our 90s here west of the Cascades feel cool.

I wouldn't get too excited,

Despite steep LR's and good MUCAPE, there is just very little in the way of moisture associated with the downstream trough to really do much.

I would like to see a bit more tilt NNW in this type of setup, even then, any activity would likely be pushed E/NE.

You were correct but I still win!

I slept through anything that happened here.   I just ran an 8-hour loop on the UW radar and it looks like it was pretty active out here overnight but it does not appear to have rained at all.

Sunny and 64 now with some unstable looking clouds floating around.

Yeah radar looked pretty active kind of disappointed I missed out but I’ve just been so tired after work...have to get as much sleep as I can. Wouldn’t be surprised if we got some rain here in a bit it’s starting to cloud up and some echoes are trying to build to the south of here.

Some nice activity offshore!  Let’s get in our kayaks and go...we shall paddle like hell and we might just get there!

Skies looked primed for thunderstorms if only there was some lift available. I’ve got a feeling that we’re going to get a couple wildfires from last nights scattered thunderstorms.

Not sure how it can be nicer than perfect but okay

This summers been excellent. Few days with rain, few hot days and lots of sunny warm average days as well. Has been leaning to the heat lovers side in terms of weather recently but it looks like we may flip back more towards the rain lovers way soon. Has been a great summer.

82F high so far after a warm low of 60F. Grass almost stopped growing now. Looks like my July precip will hold at .99”.

I’d still be happy with a few hundredths of an inch. Probably will be 0.10” or less for most early next week but I’ll be happy for cooler conditions and a bit of rain overall. Hit 80 for the 6th day in a row today.

Surprised the valley managed to avoid more 90s today. PDX came close. Pretty solid marine push underway this evening.
