First time in 10 years I believe for this:

...Ice Storm Warning in effect until 10 PM PST Sunday for the

Portland and Vancouver Metro areas...

The National Weather Service in Portland has issued an Ice Storm

Warning which is in effect until 10 PM PST Sunday.

AN ICE STORM WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE

EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF ICE ACCUMULATIONS

WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS OR IMPOSSIBLE. TRAVEL IS STRONGLY

DISCOURAGED. COMMERCE WILL LIKELY BE SEVERELY IMPACTED. IF YOU

MUST TRAVEL...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR

VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY. ICE ACCUMULATIONS AND WINDS WILL

LIKELY LEAD TO SNAPPED POWER LINES AND FALLING TREE BRANCHES THAT

ADD TO THE DANGER.

Sounds like our January of 2012 down there.

That was a huge mess.   There are still trees bent over that you can see around here from that storm.

Our power was out for 3 days.

Mary's Peak W of Corvallis is recording wind gusts from the SW to 75 mph right now. This low looks to be coming ashore further north than anticipated. EUG's winds went from N last hour to calm at 6pm, wouldn't be stunned to see their temps take a huge jump in the next hour.

Well I am below freezing now with a dew point still at 22F so I am ready for snow if it ever makes it up here. If it doesn't I may have to go searching for it down in Snohomish County.

I went to strong with this. More like 2-4.

Still would have been in the lower margin, lol.

New NAM MM5 coming in now... shows low about to pass just to the north of Eugene.

They might jump to 45 degrees in a hour when the wind hits.

Just got home from Redmond...was flurrying when i walked out of the building and decided to take a detour a couple miles further south on my way home...snow started dumping there...here at home its moderate snow that has now begining to cover the driveway but isn't covering main roads yet. Gusty east wind is making the snow blow around quite a bit. 32.8 dp 24.
