February 2014 in the PNW

It just spreading out a little as it hits the wall.

It's falling apart, because the low is dying. Look on the radar around mount Rainier. I still bet that some upslope location will get a foot out of this(you or Hood Canal) depending on which way the flow turns at the very end.

Won't be me!

I don't have much here at all... very dry air.   Light snow swirling around and less than inch on the ground.

There will be no 12-inch totals.    Its just going to slide off to the east like all the models are showing.

DOT cameras show the roads are covered 5 miles to the south me but I have yet to see a flake (and I have been staring into the floodlights). What a revolting development this is.

Silverdale, Wa would be my guess. Seems like the westerly movement is aimed squarely at it.

And the moisture is just plain drying up.

My parents on Bainbridge went into a movie at 7:00 without any snow falling. I told them they'd come out to snow covered roads and a winter wonderland but they doubted me.

They came out of the movie at 9:00 and called me to say there was 1.5" and it was dumping with a bunch of cars in the ditch.

It's fun to be right.  B)

Looks like PDX will score a high below freezing today. That makes four in a row. Longest stretch this late in PDX history I believe.

That also means they've seen nine sub-freezing highs this winter. How long has it been since they've seen that many in one season?

Good illustration of why the band can't decide whether to move West or East. The low is almost killed off. I have a feeling someone is going to score in an upslope location... And it's obivously not going to be me.
