  1. Past hour
  2. Much more angst when the inevitable prolonged rainy stretch shows up in the models, though. Even when you "luck out" and are out of town for most of it!
  3. we grind single origin sustainable beans from Guatemala that are roasted by a local roaster. we then french press. life is too short to drink shiitty coffee
  4. McDonald’s coffee is okay. It’s fairly strong for something you buy at a fast food place. I cannot drink Dutch Bros, it just takes like hot water to me.
  5. might get a couple showers tomorrow evening into Friday but generally this 'event' is turning to be meh over here
  6. I am all for staying green all summer. Rain once twice a week would be ideal. But nature doesn't give a crap what I want! And maybe it's because you expect McDonalds to be crap so the coffee exceeds expectations?
  7. And apparently McDonalds Coca Cola is even better than the Mexican Coke that comes in the bottle!
  8. I’m not a fan of the Chick Fil A there. I wish they would have turned that into the In-N-Out instead. I’m going to miss the Hawaiian Time that they are going to tear down now. Best Hawaiian food in the PNW.
  9. Kind of works out perfectly. You don't have to miss out on any beautiful weather here, while I get to enjoy the late season cold rain. It also ensures the grass will stay green deeper into the Spring and summer here, which while that may not be so difficult in North Bend, down in Seattle I'm already seeing brown spots in the most exposed parts of my lawn. Okay! I keep hearing this over and over! My roommate and I were just talking about it the other night. Is it really that good??
  10. I am all for rainy days and sunny days interspersed. Spring climo!
  11. Liquid blessings! Shockingly I’m excited about this! Now if it’s non stop gloom for two weeks straight then I might get a little whiny eventually. Stay Tuned!
  12. Today
  13. Wasn't an insult to anyone. People who have to repress their true feelings can act out in strange/overcompensated ways like bragging about boning their wife on a weather forum. Similar to the politicians who go ham on anti gay legislation but end up being closeted homosexuals. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outrage_(2009_film)
  14. Never causes heat stress. Which is true. A 68-degree day in June is usually quite lovely in the afternoon at least.
  15. To paraphrase a certain Gopher State native from Januaries past: "60 degrees is never cruel!"
  16. Heavy Duty Drizzle! .15” so far on the day, and 46 degrees!! IMG_4479.mov
  17. Locally here, May 2011 was historically cold while June was just merely chilly. June 2010 actually felt a lot colder than June 2011, though looking back there was only about a degree difference.
  18. Yep. Can't control or change cold maxes and dark/dreary days during the peak daylight months if that is what nature wants to do. Just take it as it comes.
  19. Nature is a cruel b*tch sometimes!
  20. We are now in the midst of a Phil heavy drizzle special!! Got instantly soaked walking to my truck just now!
  21. It’s true. There’s really nothing nothing in life that’s worth fretting about aside from record MIN/MAX’s in May/June. The rest is just gravy, baby. Embrace the chaos.
  22. I gave up fast food 12 years ago at 37. around the same time I started huffing DMT. Enlightenment. we're all just love and light in a big cosmic goo
  23. What's crazy is May/June 2011 was actually cooler at OLM. And April-June was significantly cooler than 1971. Generational spring/early summer.
  24. Check out May/June 1971. Seven record low maxes at SEA. And a couple of 59s in early July for good measure. What a time!
  25. The 51/42 SEA saw on 5/12/22 will long live in infamy. Record cold max, beating out the 53 seen in 1999.
