  1. He has sunk to new levels this winter. Actually cruel in a way.

  3. It feels great to actually feel that cold, brisk, north westerly wind again. Back to reality.

  4. Easy there, snowflake. You should at least contribute to the thread before making snarky remarks.

  5. I am for the wall, but not for the Mexicans paying for it. I also think that it is stupid that you can have parents who are illegal and you are legal just because you were born in the United States. I think people are more concerned about families being split up then simply being sent back to Mexico.

  6. Very windy today. It made a big mess in my backyard. Good thing the hills are still moistured from the recent storms.

  7. It's sad when people judge other people's lives when they know nothing about it. It's easy to judge Tim because he basically spills out his entire life on the forum. Pictures, stories, daily devotionals of his kids lives (never once heard him mention his wife)... but I don't hate Tim nor do I have any problem with his posts as long as he's not trying to wreck Jim....anyhow... what were we talking about? Oh yeah. . I would think we're closing in on a good run of snowy years here sometime soon.

  8. Mt Si is basically on the front range of the Cascades. The west face (which is very Rocky) is loses snow pretty fast when the sun shines on it. Plenty of snow in the WA Cascades.

  9. Looking similar to late February 2014, we'll see if the shortwave can dig enough to send some outflow south of the border like that one did.

  10. 00z GFS came in a touch south and looks like Snowshoe/Money and north side of DTX get hit...

  11. There is more snow in the ditches near my house than on that mt.

  12. There was a lot of snow up there just last weekend when we drove up to the Pass. It's really steep and exposed to sun and wind though, so the slopes always seem to look less snowy than it really should be.

  13. Today was nice. It's possible to enjoy some sunny relatively mild and pleasant weather while still maintaining your Snowaholics Anonymous membership.

  14. I think we are in the "most likely" what will happen period. The Euro has spoken. Amen!

  16. I bet things trend slightly south again and Northern Snohomish Co will be ground zero!

  17. Seatte's highest pressure in two years this morning. Highest since we set our all-time record in 2014.

  18. One of my dad's fave sayings you just don't hear much anymore. He grew up in the 20's n 30's when that was a common saying in America - the land of opportunity! If your parents are still alive, consider yourself lucky, even if they drive you nuts sometimes!

  19. I believe the GFS came around 2-3 days out. So far, it does look like a track through N WI/N MI is the way to go. You will prob see some lake enhancement out of this and have a "white" ground for sure. On the other hand, this side of LM will continue to stare at bare ground! Hope somehow this can benefit the both of us. At least the cold from recent days has re-frozen the warm ground so when the snow comes you won't see much melt.

  20. Not cool at all. Mental problems aren't something someone should go online and diagnose.

  21. Overnight models were not friendly. All pretty much backed off on a strong storm. Loooong ways to go though. Even the almighty euro had a run last week that completely dropped this last storm and then came right back with it, so no reason for alarm yet imo

  22. It would be nice if this was a switch to a long spell of troughy winters in the west. I have been just as happy to see California and the Intermountain West do well as I have with my own backyard.

  24. That's good news. Utah has had some really low snowpack years recently.

  25. MI will more than likely see some long fetched lake induced bands coming off the lake, possibly reaching DTW area with this type of set up.

  26. That 18z GFS snow map is one of the ugliest 264 hr maps you'll ever see for MI, WI, MN and SD in the middle of winter.

  27. You're a valued friend and we want only the best for you Jim. Everyone deserves a break to get perspective and rest. Lord, I've needed a vacation for 3 yrs! Be well, rub snow in you face frequently! ...better still get naked and take a snow bath. You and I have been on this and previous incarnations of this forum a very long time, so I look forward to reading your posts again soon. Be well !!

  28. We all love you dude, please don't leave. Mother Nature always trolls the most invested, passionate weenies. That's just how it is, how it's always been, and how it always will be. When things look bleak, tell yourself that it's just frozen water falling from the sky, or something along those lines. Soon you'll find a new location, and you'll see snowfalls on a regular basis. There are great winter climates all around the country, and many are quite cheap/affordable. Heck, many are within your geographic backyard. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best of luck. You'll pull through and will do fine in the end, that much I'm sure of.
