  3. That's awful I am sorry. I lost my Dad 10 years ago to ALS. A horrific evil disease. Where has time gone. A decade? It's like we've been living in an alternative universe. Lost my brother in June. Still not coping with it. I'm 50 myself, and it just puts everything in a very clear perspective. This holiday season is rough, just have my Mother who sadly is declining now I think my brother passing has just taken too big of a toll on her. I see her fading every day with her memory and so on. It's killing me. Trying to be positive and had my nephew here today to decorate the house for Christmas. Thankfully all three of us were in good spirits today, enjoying each other, trying to make the best of it all. I just don't know and the future is very depressing. Since June I have been just very lost and destroyed. I have to find joy in life again somewhere. Thankful for this weather forum, all you weather geeks and geekstresses, and of course my PDX WX Analysis group on Facebook. I enjoy all of that tremendously and it is also a good distraction from things.

  7. Nice to see much of the snow is still on the trees in my neighborhood and didn't fall off and melt so soon like it has frequently done in the past. And there seems to be more snow in my front yard then when I left for work this morning.

  27. Friday night looks like a traditional overrunning event for Olympia North. Will be starting with a colder airmass and flow looks like it stays offshore the entire time. The Monkey wrench will be how much drying Develops east of the sound. A widespread 2-6 inches look like a solid estimate if things stay the same as the 12z runs today.

  32. We got just under an inch with the snow showers this afternoon. Apparently they were alot heavier down around Silverton with the SE end of town getting a couple inches in a very short amount of time, there may have been something of a flash freeze as silly as that sounds because I guess there were multiple accidents on Silver Falls HWY and some of the side roads, according to the local FB page it is impossible to get off the hill right now due to pretty much all the roads out of the Silverton Hills being shut down due to accidents and disabled vehicles. Glad I decided to work from home today.

  33. Went for a little walk and it is getting crunchy after a day of drips and drops. Gave myself a snow day and worked from home. Watched kids pulling their sleds down to our local sledding hill as school was cancelled. Just one of those magical days that looks like it is going to finish with a pretty sunset. Between Issaquah and Renton Highlands a little under 500 ft

  36. I've picked up about another inch this morning. Looks like a nice area of snow east of OLM right now. Hard to tell how far west the snowfall from that will extend when it gets further north.
