  4. In fairness to Jesse, he's just calling it like he sees it. It's pretty obvious you are getting annoyed by some of us reporting what is going on outside our front door.

  6. Snowing here in Sandy. It started around 5 and hasn't stopped since. The road is still covered. I am not surprised since it often gets cold about a month after we have had arctic air.

  15. Here is some weather history history for the posters in Missouri and Kansas. 1912: Residents of Kansas City began to dig out from a storm that produced 25 inches of snow in 24 hours. The snowfall total was nearly twice that of any other storm of modern record in Kansas City before or since that time. A record 40 inches of snow fell during March that year, and the total for the winter season of 67 inches was also a record. By late February of that year, Kansas City had received just six inches of snow. Olathe, Kansas received 37 inches of snow in the snowstorm, establishing a single storm record for the state of Kansas. (23rd-24th) 1929: St. Louis, Missouri soared to 92 degrees; their all-time record high for March.

  24. This is really reminding me of the late March 2018 event. Just an incredible end to what was already a good winter. For good measure my daughter goes in to spring break with her 17th snow day of the year.

  25. 12Z GFS is much farther north and east and warmer with the trough next weekend... similar to the ECMWF solution. Also shows dry weather from Sunday through late Friday for western WA. We will see if this a trend or if it goes back to the cold solution.

  36. Snow has let up here. Didn’t really have any accumulation but it was coming down good at points for a few hours there. Pretty cool to see for March 24th. And we aren’t done with snow chances yet for the next few days.

  37. Interesting when you look at the high elevation snotel stations the snow pack is not very impressive. Mt. Hood test site, Hogg Rock by Santiam Pass, Three Creek Meadows by the Sisters, all below average snow pack. The lower elevation sites are just absolutely killing it though.

  38. About 3" of additional snow has fallen since midnight. Over 4" on the ground. Salem was reporting snow and 34 on the hour, though looking at cams, it doesn't look like it stuck in the city.
