A nice steady and sometimes heavy rain has been falling much of the morning. It's great to get some real beneficial rain. 1.46 is the total so far hopefully I can push that up to 2 or 3 inches by the time it moves out later tomorrow.5 points

No severe weather here thankfully, however we got quite a deluge overnight as training thunderstorms rolled across the western part of the Omaha metro (my backyard LOL). On the attached Storm Total rainfall image, I am right where the capital "C" in Chalco is on the map (in the 2.5"-3.5" pink zone) - so I was dead center in the sweet spot! Ended up with 2.80" of rain overnight... which is wild since it really didn't get going until after midnight and everything ended shortly after 3:00am (while everyone was trying to sleep). Lots of lightning and some gusty winds, but not much else outside of the torrential rain... and most of the rain was able to soak into the ground as well surprisingly enough - not much ponding or standing water around.4 points

Boy, you won't see me complain' if this happens as modeled for the Valley...Is it rally time for the Monsoon??? Both the EURO/ICON appear to agree with the general idea that a BIG soaking is coming together. Gosh, it's like I'm tracking a winter storm bc this would seriously put a big DENT into the deficits for this years official Monsoon!4 points

I received 0.66" of rain from a nice line of storms last evening. A few spots in the area got 1+". There was quite a bit of lightning, too. It was a welcome soak as we head into another long dry stretch.4 points

I had .49" overnight as storms plunging south across Iowa were able to stay together! It has rained some on 4 of past 5 days. So feels damp, but after such a long dry period 1.21" over 5 days really isnt that wet. It has been enough to green lawns and get some late grains like rye, oats and winter wheat going. Rain and Thunderstorms on the way. Cooler temps. High 82* tomorrow. 50% chance this evening increasing to 80%. Much needed. Bring it on!!3 points

That's a deep fire. It's in one of the wettest spots in the country averaging just north of 100" of precipitation annually, but clearly this is going to smolder for months.3 points

Every CFS control run for the last few days has had at least 1 month out of DJF that is a doozy. I'm not even having to cherry pick right now. Also, a very consistent signal that we are right on the edge of the cold anomalies, with above average precip anomalies right along that dividing line. I'll gladly take the higher risk of a flop in exchange for the higher upper end snow potential that would bring.2 points

Been 36 hours of November in Seattle here. Steady light to moderate rain, temps 45-55, 1.1" total. Loving it!2 points

Keep in mind I'm in the 18-34 bracket, so if you're older than that, add 5 minutes for each 5 year bracket. Thank you, not good enough for the majors though. T minus 2.5 weeks to Chicago.2 points

We’re sitting at 98*. Expecting a 20-25* drop with thunderstorms in a few hours. The cold front will bring a nice cool down. Wednesday's highs will be in the lower-80s, with mid-80s for high temperatures on Thursday and Friday. We’ll also notice a drop in humidity. Dry and seasonably warm weather is expected this weekend into next week. 50% chance this evening increasing to 80%. Much needed. Bring it on!! Currently 98.* Humidity 40% In 3 hours we should drop quickly to 81* and much more pleasant humidity.2 points

I just checked the radar loop from yesterday till this morning and it looks like a lot of members from E NE, east into IA and down south into KC/MO got some sort of thunderstorm action. Talk about a "share the wealth" pattern, ay??? Looks like @Bryan1117 got nailed while at the same time a N/S line of storms formed around 9pm CST out across IA. @Hawkeye @OttumwaSnomow. Prob enough to fill the rain buckets and some for the garden.2 points

Two more days of summer then some more summer this weekend. Even the "break" Thurs/Fri is a normal late summer-esque marine crash without any rain to speak of.2 points

West Yellowstone looks to drop into the lower 20s tonight. On watch for first sub-20 temp of the season.2 points

I bought last Tuesday when it was quite warm and breezy outside but not smoky. At the time these games were still seen as somewhat meaningless. I took a look at the weekend games and the difference was about 400%. Looks like they’ll probably be rather meaningless (hopefully).1 point

My sons just paid $35 for section 117 for tomorrow and got a bunch of tickets for their group of friends. But it took them 5 tries to get the order through so tickets are suddenly selling very fast.1 point

The one night I am a Yankees fan and they suck... at home against worst team in AL. Mariners clinch tonight with a win and a Yankees win. But apparently the Yankees win will not be happening. So tomorrow night might be the night to be at T-Mobile!1 point
