  1. ahhh the good ole fashion dry slot for semi. Not getting my hopes up
  2. Just covering all their bases. They can be like "See we told you were going to be wrong"
  3. Per my county road commission. God bless those who have to drive tonight
  4. Yeah i wouldn't be surprised if the snow amounts are lower than forecasted. The wind aspect is going to be the major storyline in this storm so even a couple inches is going to cause havoc
  5. that's the kind of storm you see in fantasyland range, not 60 hours out. Just incredible
  6. The wind aspect of this storm is what's most intriguing to me. Have had several double digit snowstorms but the high winds combined with the snow is not something we get very often around here.
  7. not sure either. I just know the last blizzard warning for around here was the groundhog day storm in 2011
  8. well this is still looking good for us here in southern michigan. I'm really rooting for that elusive blizzard warning that we haven't seen in SEMI in 12 years
  9. might end up on the lower forecasted total of 8 inches here in lapeer, but points south and east aren't getting the double digit totals that were forecasted unless that NW bump occurs. I'm kinda glad I don't have the time to invest myself into models and storms like I use to, otherwise I would be pretty upset right now
  10. looks like our 2 year winter storm watch futility streak is coming to an end
  11. DTE and consumers might as well keep their crews around that were brought in this past weekend lol. hopefully we don't lose power this time around
  12. good luck jaster. Looks like I will be on the northern fringe of this one, though any subtle shifts north could put me in the game for more substantial amounts
  13. picked up about 1.5" here. now onto another week + of boring
  14. woke up this morning to a surprise 2" otg and on/off snow showers all day. Nice little Christmas present
  15. a christmas snowstorm in mby will always bump up my winter grade to at least a C, regardless of how crappy the rest of the winter is
  16. it seems like getting snow in november has been a death sentence for getting anything meaningful in december for southern michigan the past few years. I really hope we don't end up with another brown christmas
  17. SE michigan got hit pretty hard with those line of storms yesterday. thousands lost power when a trampoline flew into a substation
  18. Detroit has had some pretty crappy Decembers recently so it really isn't that rare. White christmas historical probabilities are pretty much 50-50 there
  19. euro is weaker and further east. this is turning into a non event
  20. nam is further east this run. precip doesn't even make it into semi
  21. just an FYI, ryan maue has free euro weeklies on his site http://wx.graphics/models/eps/eps.php
  22. I think the trees changing so early is due to the tree stress from the drought. IMBY here on the east side of michigan where the drought isn't as bad, trees are still mostly green.
