lol I recall there being another rare stretch of 100's at KLMT that year, 5 days in a row? It's hard to get just one of them there.
After 2013, there wasn't another 100+ until June of 2021.
Late July? Very long heat wave happened then. One day I saw it rain with temps in the mid-90s in Tigard which is probably some of the most un-PNWlike weather I’ve seen in the PNW.

So are the Sierras. In two runs they've managed to turn a heatwave into a blizzard at around ~D6
Just cancelled my Redding getaway.

Looks like it will be three straight sub 50 highs here. Pretty legit for April. Surprised it hasn’t gotten Jim out of hiding, but I suppose we will have to wait until October now.
PDX departures last three days are -1, -5, -3. Really not that out of the ordinary for this time of year.

Strange timing considering the ridge next weekend vanished and now the models show cold troughing instead.
Most western troughs the last couple months have been mainly CA/SW focused, I've noticed next weekend is mainly north-focused. Other shoe's gotta drop eventually I guess.

*FROST ADVISORY*
Figured this somewhat chilly but fairly dry pattern would have a good chance at producing some frosty nights.

Going to be a full on summer look by the end of next week if the next warm spell verifies.
Will be interesting to make some comparison pics between mid-April last year and mid-April this year.

LF analog composites keep getting worse and worse for summer. Horrific coast to coast death ridge signal all the way through. Looks like some 1930s s**t.
Hopefully next winter will be like 1936-37!

Yeah my brain implant RNS stimulator cyberware that I have works ok but it's not enough without lamotrigene. The operation to put in this experimental RNS was over $120k in total costs so I'm very grateful for all that being approved. Tho it was kinda me just agreeing to be a guinea pig for the operations. I scan my brainwaves and send the data in regularly so they can see how I have seizures up to like 15 a minute at times. Thousands weekly.
Without lamotrigene, which costs like $500+ a bottle out of pocket, is simply not worth it. I'll just let my body fail instead if that's what it comes to. I'm grateful that my family lives in the tiny flat we have because so many people don't have that. The ones that walk in our alleyway at night...I know our family has it better, even if I can only put some cots in the livingroom for my kids for when they come over. Their mom decided to go her own way cuz she couldn't handle the stress of my seizure episodes along with taking care of 3 young kids. It was unfortunate but I just decided to remain stoic for my kids. My family here, my current wife and her mom are the most incredible people, along with my kids and @MR.SNOWMIZER @SilverFallsAndrew @Phil @Deweydog @TT-SEA @iFred @BLI snowman @Meatyorologist who have helped me get through some of the toughest parts of my life. With my kids coming over this weekend starting tonight, it's gonna be an adventure. I'm sorry if I forgot to mention someone before. Y'all are so very important.
Really sorry about what’s going on Tiger. Just dumb this is how things are. Check your DMs.

That's a tough one. Really depends what you're into, I'm personally into hiking, climbing, and mountaineering so Switzerland is probably the best vacation destination for me. Best place in the states is probably the north cascades or the teton range in Wyoming.
Hawaiis really nice too.
Would love to visit both Hawaii and Alaska at some point.

California and Arizona have higher average temperatures than western Oregon, while eastern Oregon and Idaho have lower average temperatures. Thanks for the information Tim, I had no idea!

I feel sorry for those who feel like they can’t enjoy life unless it’s 45 degrees and drizzling.

Usually a 69 automatically rounds up to 70 between hours, but I’m sure they’ll hit 70 or higher today.

The inter-hour readings round to the nearest Celsius. A 20.6C reading would round to 21 and show as 69.8, but in reality is 69.1.

Looks like Aurora is the first inland westside station to hit 70. Beautiful day! Spring is in the air!

I wonder how close to the event it will take for all models to agree. This has been a difficult evolution.
This always seems to be a rough time of year for model accuracy.

April 2024 Weather in the PNW
in West of the Rockies
Posted
Seems like it is mainly a North Cascades snowpack issue.
