Are you the same person as Evan cedar Mill? You sure act like.
The same incessantly whiny tone to every (completely noncontributory) comment so yes I'm almost certain it's the same guy.

Yeah, too bad the trough didn't dig more favorably with stronger block support. A lot of frigid air in Alaska.

It is gorgeous out there-- feels more like spring with a bright sunshine and a blue sky dotted by wispy clouds. Feels weird to be talking about foothill and possible lowland snow next week.

Yeah, also makes me think of this one that happened the following year. Sadly both cases are very unlikely to be solved at this point.
Much more recent, of course, but reminds me of this one too.

Lots of unsolved cases in our region, unfortunately. Not to mention that possible serial killer in the metro this past year as well.

Quite the year already for easterlies-- Friday looks like a very windy day for the usual spots

Widespread 30–35 cm (12–14") with yesterday's storm here.

2-25-19 says otherwise.
Or 1/10/17... more impressive single storm frankly than anything up that way in at least a couple decades

Big message of today was supposedly that organized precip would be well over by evening in the PDX metro-- yet it continues to rain in spots with many locations below freezing. Kinda an unexpectedly nasty ice storm for many today.

Lot of stations on the eastside of PDX in the 28-31 F range and copious precipitation moving in-- yikes

Roads are a sheet of ice but those gusty south winds must be heating things up slowly and surely down here in Eugene
-
At least some ZR falling in the valley as temps Eugene to Portland are still mostly in the high 20s

As usual it seems as though the cold air is more entrenched than models anticipated

What's the question here

That band just rolled through here and it was nuts. Heaviest snow I've personally witnessed in the lowlands.
Seems like there's more where that came from to the south

Fwiw there's a large slug of moisture on its way from the south

That band should slam someone in the near future. Nice to see upper levels cooling though

PDX-DLS is a phenomenal 17.7 right now-- not sure I've ever seen or even heard of it being that high
