High Desert Mat?

Looking like a pretty decent snowstorm for central Oregon Tuesday to Wednesday. The upslope and wraparound looks to be pretty heavy.

Jesus. How many times have you said dry in the last couple months like it’s what you live for? I’d say it’s more times than Dome has been laid. Move to a warmer and drier climate already? How old are you, Florida is calling!!!!!

‘16-‘17 one of the best winters of my life. Throughout. Not 11 years. There’s been quite a few years in there actually. Then again, I moved to Central Oregon just over ten years ago, so there’s that. Valley was difficult in many of those years to live in for good winters, so maybe I’m spoiled.

I for one loved December’13 for many reasons, mostly the brutal cold with snowcover. December’16 was special in ways I won’t see again in my lifetime probably. I can’t say how many times it snowed but it piled decently and stayed cold throughout. I don’t think we see a cold month like again for a few years over here.

The low is so far south the deformation band, if there is one, wil probably set up right over me in Redmond Oregon. Lol

Rob, that is mouth watering tho compared to what happened all of November thus far. A few tweaks and we’re all in business.

If you compare models from previous runs it looked west from the get go. I guess I’m shaving my head soon unless something crazy happens. Come on crazy!!!!

Nice to see the 18z op was a warm outlier too. Cold 00z runs tonight. If not, I’m shaving my head.

Still gets cold. Cold air will be in place for what seems to be the end of the run. The moisture is what’s missing. A low could come out of nowhere and has many times in the past. Saturday is when I think the details will be worked out.

So far the 12z is a little ahead of schedule compared to yesterday’s 12z.

Low is too far south. Maybe it’ll trend north some which it’s likely to do. We shall see.

I just heard that Matt and the SSW are going out to dinner 12/1. Analog?
